Committees are a key part of the Karma community. Joining a committee gives you the opportunity to contribute your skills and passion to Karma in many different ways, from writing to building to hosting events.
Committee members work a minimum of 4 hours per month and receive work credits for their contribution. Committees are headed by a Chair who runs monthly meetings and manages the workload of their committee members.

How do I join a committee?
Email the committee you are interested in joining – their email addresses are listed on their pages. Explain your skills and interests and why you would like to contribute to their work. The Committee Chair will be in touch with next steps.
“I joined the Community Development Committee bcause I wanted more people in the wider community to learn about Karma. We’re a hidden gem, but if we stay too hidden, we’ll never grow as a co-op. My committee works to raise Karma’s profile in the Annex and in Toronto, create partnerships with like-minded organizations, and just generally get the word out about how great Karma is.”
– Natalie Brown, Chair, Community Development Committee.
