How did you find out about Karma food co-op?
How did you find out about Karma food co-op?The board of directors is interested in knowing how we might better attract new members - working members in particular. We are in the process of setting up a community outreach program and want to know where we can get the best bang for our member labour buck ;)
I sought out Karma when I moved to Toronto from Kitchener where I was a working member at Ebytown Food Co-op. I found out about that co-op through the outreach program they had there.

Hey Orla,
Gee I thought Board members were elected to represent all members of the coop. Declaring your interest in working members is all very well but biasing your recruitment in favour of "working members" as a Board member probably would be thought somewhat inappropriate as a member elected to the Board to represent the views and wishes of all members.

I think there was an article in Now (or maybe Eye) back in 2006 on sources for local produce, where Karma was listed.
Blogs are starting to replace the weeklies as sources for local news. blogTO or the Torontoist might be interested in doing a profile of Karma.
