Discontinued ProductsRemoved From Karma's ShelvesHere is a list of items that the Food Issues Working Group has removed from Karma:
Clorox (the owner of Brita) is listed by PETA as a company that is currently testing some of its products on animals. Brita has stopped its voluntary recycling initiative. Both the Brita filters, and the concentrated chemicals they have trapped within them, end up in the landfill. ABC: more info Colgatge Palmolive (its manufacturer) is suspected of Animal testing and it is believed to contain phosphates. ABC will not discuss its ingredients and it is a large multinational company, something Karma tries to avoid. Johson & Johnson Dental Floss: is coated in Mineral wax which depletes the environment (derived from unsustainable minerals), difficult to recycle. Johnson & Johnson major global corporation, and not concerned with environmental impact from the products that they produce. Kimberly-Clark: more info Karma has removed the Kleenex Napkins from our shelf as the result of a boycott against Kimberly Clark, the manufacturer of Kleenex --products, because of Kleenex's unwillingness to curb it's reliance on clearcut ancient forests
