Generally, it is advisable to become acquainted with the store, its policies and procedures before joining a committee. Members of most committees receive automatic work credits - they are not required to record hours, and no hours are charged. You will be expected to attend all meetings, do additional tasks as required, and generally spend a minimum of four hours per month on your committee work. For that reason, a committee member receives four hours work credit per month.
