You are here: Home > About Karma > The Board of Directors

The Board of Directors is Karma's governing body, elected for one or two-year terms by the membership. The board meets monthly. All Karma members are welcome to attend board meetings. The board consists of 10 directors elected by the membership at the Annual General Meeting. In addition to other tasks, the board oversees the work of Karma's committees.

The board usually meets on the first Monday of every month. To check date and location for the next meetings, please see the latest board minutes.

The by-laws authorize the Board to have ten directors, and the Board is currently below that size. If you are interested in being appointed to a term ending in October, 2011, please start by reading this four-page document about the director’s role and, if possible, observing a Board meeting. After that, please write to board@karmacoop.org to apply for appointment, stating your experience and interests.
